What means "fixed/thermofixed"

The last step in the production of spiral screens is thermofixing. In this step the spiral screen will be heated and stretched at the same time. This process build strength and dimensional stability.

 

Reasons for fixing spiral screens:

• Dimenstional stability
• Stregth of the screen
• Uniform air permeability

At the process of fixing the shape of the screen will change because of the strech and the heat. These bacame flat and smooth.
